PETALUMA, CA. (May 28, 2015) – Employees at Optio Solutions, a fast-growing collection agency, and CrossCheck, came together and made contributions to the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship annually awarded to four worthy students by the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals’ Education Fund.
The non-profit Fund offers the scholarship to students affiliated with the Association and its member companies. Every April credit and collections professionals from across the country hold fundraisers to finance the scholarships. This year, Optio and CrossCheck employees participated in two ways. Many made a cash donation for the fun privilege to wear casual dress to work for nearly a month, and many contributed by buying employee-donated baked goods during lunch. Employees in Petaluma, Dallas and Phoenix enthusiastically participated.
Awarded based upon cumulative GPA and an essay about the importance of consumer credit in the nation’s economy, the four scholars will split a $10,000 award. Winners will be chosen by an independent committee appointed by the ACA. First Place wins $5,000, Second Place $3,000, and two Third Place winners receive $1,000 each.
Optio and CrossCheck employees donated a total of $1,335 to this worthy cause.

The 2015 Scholarship winners will be selected in June.
